If 12 months ago, I could look forward in time, I never thought I’d be attending MozCon 2020. Well, I mean, kind of.
2020 has brought a lot of changes to our daily lives, with technology rapidly developing to keep up with the virtual demand. But, without these changes a lot of us would never have had the opportunity to attend one of the most prestigious search conferences in the world.
MozCon is a two-day event, which would usually run annually in the US; with marketers from all over the globe attending.
But this year, on July 14th and 15th 2020, they’re going virtual. Not only because we physically can’t attend in person, but also to give the opportunity to learn and connect with a range of industry specialists from the comfort of our own home or office.
Promising an action packed two days of insights from some of the most incredible speakers in the industry, the virtual event will allow for a brand new experience for all.
As MozCon is usually held in the US, it’s important to remember that all dates and times are presented in Pacific Daylight Time (so don’t forget, it starts at 4:30pm for us UK folk!)
Beginning with an open opportunity to network with SEO’s around the globe, we will be eased in to the sessions and hopefully, put names to some of those faces we all know and love from Twitter.
You can view the full schedule online and for those who have purchased a ticket, you will also receive all recordings from the event in the coming days. So, even if it’s getting past your routine bedtime when the talks are on live, you can catch up the next day, from the comfort of your desk.
With some of the biggest names in SEO on the line-up, we’re sure to be in for an action-packed couple of days.
There are a few speakers who I’ve always wanted to see at conferences, and for one reason or another, it’s never really worked out. But with Brian Dean, Dr. Pete Meyers and Britney Muller all speaking at this years event, I’m really looking forward to hearing their approach to search.
Dr. Pete Meyers is speaking tomorrow evening, (or 12:55pm PT) on the topic of keyword research. I’m sure we’re all guilty of not keeping up to date with our research. Often, search trends change and it’s too late. Dr. Pete is going to be presenting some of his very own tactics for how to recognise these trends as they happen.
Brian Dean, Founder of Backlinko, will be presenting ‘How to Promote Your Content Like a Boss’ on Wednesday 15th July, sharing his very own strategies for sharing content and getting the traction you want.
Britney Muller is a Senior Search Scientist at Moz, who has been an inspiration in the industry for many years. Britney will be presenting her session on accessible machine learning and how we can all streamline our workflows. With actionable insights to take away, it’ll be great to hear what Britney has to say.
Finally, with last conference I attended being the Women in Tech SEO event back in March, it’s amazing to see Izzi Smith take back to the stage for MozCon (well, behind her screen). Izzi is by far one of the most inspirational women I have met in the industry, and to see her name on the line-up means we’re all in for an action packed session, with some great takeaways.
I’m sure tomorrow and Wednesday will be packed full of incredible insights to take away and apply within your own strategies. I can’t wait to do a follow up and share some of the most inspiration tips with you all!
